Welcome!

When I was growing up, books were my favorite friends. A Little Princess, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bridge to Terebithia – I could curl up for hours to read and re-read the well-loved and well-worn pages of these and many, many more.

Now that I’m “all grown up” I am doubly blessed to write for children and read to my own. I experience my old favorites in a fresh way as I watch my children delight in the cleverness of Dr. Seuss, the warmth of Margaret Wise Brown or the humor of George Marshall. And I still burn up my library card checking out picture books, middle readers, and young adult novels, only now I can call it "research." Which, I suppose, makes me triply blessed.

I hope this site brings a little taste of the joy I’ve discovered in children’s literature to you!

Heather
